The year 2023 was full of unexpected events that affected the dairy market in Central Asia. Some of them were positive, and some were not. At the end of the year, The DairyNews conducted a survey of dairy market participants to find out how this year went for them.

What was 2023 like for your company  JLC Sut ?

— Difficult, but successful, thanks to the joint efforts of our employees.

The most important decision of the year.

— Maintaining prices at the 2022 level, provided that competitors’ prices were raised.

 The biggest challenge of the year. How did you deal with it?

— Very hot summer, abnormal heat, problems with the delivery of products to retail outlets, problems with the delivery of raw milk. The efficiency of the team and highly qualified personnel helped overcome the problems; additional coolers were also purchased.

 The main victories of the year. What achievement are you most proud of this year?

— We increased the range of finished products, installed new production lines, and opened new branches.

 What or who do you feel most grateful for?

— To a close-knit team, to people who work 365 days a year.

What actions would you like to repeat in the new year?

— Maintain a friendly, united, efficient JLC ​​team .

 Did you achieve your financial goals this year? Your financial goals for 2024.

— By expanding our product range and opening new branches, we achieved our planned financial goals in 2023. In 2024, we plan to increase sales volumes by 1.5 times.

 What was the planned production volume? How much did you get in the end? How many are you planning for next year?

— We have fulfilled the sales volumes in physical terms that we planned for this year. Next year we plan to grow by expanding our range.

What advice would you give to yourself at the start of 2023?

– Don’t stop there, move forward.

 Your plans for 2024. What’s new in your company?

— Expand the product line, open new retail outlets in Almaty and the Almaty region and move further across Kazakhstan.

Your forecasts about the country’s dairy industry for 2024.

— Heavy, complex, taking into account the appearance on the market of Kyrgyz and Russian producers of dairy products with low prices. It is necessary to preserve the dairy market for Kazakh producers.

 Your wishes to colleagues and industry players in the new year.

— Create new products, do not give up positions, move forward in this difficult but useful business. The most important wish is to compete fairly in the Kazakhstan market.
